The Stained Glass Windows bearing the Royal Coat of Arms of King George V, who was Monarch when Government House opened in 1910
The Landing is a transitional space between the Taupaepae and the guest suites on the first floor.
The stained glass windows on the landing feature the coat of arms of King George V, who was New Zealand’s monarch at the time Government House was opened in 1910, and the portraits of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, and King George V and Queen Mary.
The ceiling above the Landing is a replica of the original, replaced as a part of the Conservation Project.
The Dresden piece on the landing was presented to the House by the Griffin family.
