Lex Forrest

Lex Forrest, of Auckland, received the Queen's Service Medal for services to the community.  Mr Forrest has been an active member of the board of the YMCA Auckland for more than 25 years, where he has held the office of Treasurer.  He has spent countless voluntary hours guiding the organisation's financial direction locally and nationally and was a member of the National YMCA Board.  He was also a trustee at St Kentigern School and Auckland Grammar School and was a member, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Auckland Rugby Referees' Association and the Gladstone Tennis Club.  Mr Forrest has also been involved with the University St Heliers Cricket Club and has organised conventions for the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
