The Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Down Syndrome Association wishes to advise of the upcoming annual Frances Clarke Memorial Awards honouring the achievements of people with Down Syndrome.
The awards will be hosted by the Governor-General, The Hon Sir Anand Satyanand and Lady Satyanand, and will be held at St Patrick College, Silverstream on Friday 9 October 2009 at 10.00am. The Governor-General is Patron of the New Zealand Down Syndrome Association.
Guest speaker is Melissa Sims, Special Olympics New Zealand
The names of the recipients and a précis of their achievements are available from the WDSA. Your support for these awards is always appreciated as it helps public awareness of the achievements of people with disabilities.
The Wellington Down Syndrome Association is a voluntary organisation made up mainly of families who share the common bond of a family member with Down Syndrome. Our aim is to provide support and information to members on an ongoing basis
All recipients and their parents have given permission for their details to be published.
