Please be advised that the Governor-General of New Zealand, Hon Anand Satyanand, and Mrs Susan Satyanand, will visit Rotorua from Wednesday 26 September to Friday 28 September. Some of the events they will be attending include:
Wednesday 26 September 2007
11am: Formal welcome to the Rotorua District at Tamatekapua Marae.
2pm: Tour of Te Puia Maori Arts and Cultural Centre, Hemo Gorge Rd, Rotorua.
Thursday 27 September 2007
10am: Tour of Red Stag Timber Mill, Waipa State Mill Rd, Waipa.
2.30pm: Visit to the Rotorua Bay of Plenty Indian Society premises and welcome from members of the Society and the Rotorua Ethnic Council, Gibson St, Rotorua.
5.50pm: Visit to the Rotorua Royal New Zealand Returned and Services Association premises, Haupapa St.
Friday 28 September 2007
9:30am: Visit to St Chads Communication Centre, cnr Devon and Fenton Sts, Rotorua
2pm: Meeting with the Rotorua and Districts Justices of the Peace Association at the Rotorua District Council Chambers.
3.30pm: Visit to the Rotorua Museum of Art and History, Government Gardens, Rotorua
