On Thursday 15 May 2008, the Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, will present the Franklin Delano Roosevelt International Disability Award to the Minister for Disability Issues, Hon Ruth Dyson, at a ceremony at Government House Wellington. The award is in the form of a mounted bronze bust of President Roosevelt.

On Thursday 15 May 2008, the Governor-General, Hon Anand Satyanand, will present the Franklin Delano Roosevelt International Disability Award to the Minister for Disability Issues, Hon Ruth Dyson, at a ceremony at Government House Wellington. The award is in the form of a mounted bronze bust of President Roosevelt.
The Governor-General received the award on behalf of New Zealand at a ceremony at the United Nations in New York on May 6.
The ceremony will be held at Government House Wellington starting at 12 noon tomorrow (Thursday 15 May 2008) and media are welcome to attend. The ceremony will last for one hour.
Media are reminded that the reasonable standard of dress is expected at Government House.
