The Governor-General of New Zealand, the Honourable Anand Satyanand, and Mrs Susan Satyanand, will travel to the Waikato region tomorrow (10 June 2008) for the start of a four day regional visit. Some of the events the Governor-General and Mrs Satyanand will be attending include:
Tuesday 10 June:
10.30am: Opens Te Totara Primary School at Rototuna North, Hamilton.
4.30pm: Attends a civic welcome, Hamilton City Council chambers.
Wednesday 11 June:
9am: Visits Hukanui Marae, Gordonton.
11.30am: Opens New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays, Mystery Creek.
3.15pm: Visits Maungatautari Ecological Reserve.
Thursday 12 June:
9am: Visits Kaimai Cheese, Waharoa.
12.30am: Civic luncheon, Morrinsville (no media).
3pm: Visits Te Aroha Domain.
4.15pm: Visits Te Aroha RSA.
Friday 13 June:
8am: Visits Lake Karapiro to meet a Rowing NZ squad.
10am: Visits Cambridge Stud.
1pm: Visits Hamilton Fire Station to meet survivors of the Tamahere fire.
