The Governor-General, Lt Gen The Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae, and Lady Janine Mateparae were welcomed by the Far North District Council on 3 February 2012. The Far North programme also included visits to the Mount Pokaka Timber Products Sawmill and The Mill Gym.
