Vice-Regal Patronage

The Governor-General, Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and his wife Lady Susan Satyanand, are the Patrons of many different charitable, cultural, sporting and social organisations. This follows the tradition of royal patronage established in the United Kingdom, although the practices of granting Royal Warrants and Royal Charters have not been continued in New Zealand.
