A survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto, Alicja Newman, lights a candle at the memorial

Alicja Newman escaped the Warsaw Ghetto when she was only 10 years old. At the memorial, she lit a candle and placed it next to three cobblestones that came from the Ghetto. The cobblestones were a gift from the Uniited States Holocaust Museum. To read more about Alicja's story, click here.
