Tours take around two hours and include the Visitor Centre, the main house and the garden (weather permitting). Tours explore the history of the house and the role, and include interactive displays and films.
All adults must bring a form of ID with them for check-in at the gate. Photo ID is preferred.
We have onsite parking. Wheelchairs are available and we have good access in the Visitor Centre and House. Not all parts of the grounds are mobility friendly. NZSL interpreters can be arranged depending on notice and availability.
Your details may be checked by NZ Police and will be retained by Government House for 8 weeks after your tour to enable Ministry of Health COVID-19 tracking. After this they will be securely destroyed. Your details will not be used for any other purposes including marketing.
