In ceremonies at 10.30am and 2.30pm on Thursday 30 August 2007, the Hon Anand Satyanand, Governor-General of New Zealand, will hold a series of investitures at Government House, Wellington.

Media wanting to attend these ceremonies must seek accreditation from the Public Affairs Officer, Antony Paltridge, on 04 382 0827 or 021 470 583 by 9am on Thursday 30 August 2007.

  • Emeritus Professor Lloyd George Geering, Order of New Zealand
  • Mr James Malcolm Ott, CNZM, for services to art and the community
  • Associate Professor David Francis Gerrard, CNZM, for services to sports medicine.
  • Professor David James Mellor, ONZM, for services to education
  • Mr Christopher Charles Cochran, MNZM, for services to architecture.
  • Emeritus Professor John Albert Codd, MNZM, for services to education.

Thursday 30 August, 2.30pm

  • Mr Kenneth Coulton Gorbey, CNZM, for services to museums.
  • Mr Mita Robert Hoturoa Henare, CNZM, for services to the public health sector.
  • Mrs Sharron Mary Cole, QSO, for services to health
  • Sister Paula Antoinette Brettkelly, MNZM, for services to human rights.
