The Landing

Image of the landing at Government House

The Landing provides a transitional space between the Taupaepae and the guest suites on the first floor.

The stained glass windows on the landing includes the coat of arms of King George V, New Zealand’s monarch at the time Government House was opened in 1910.  The paintings feature portraits of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, and King George V and Queen Mary.
