Government House tours

Tours update 15 July 2022

Government House is running group tours only. This includes schools, ECE, community and family groups:

Wellington Government House and/or gardens:

- Education, workplace,community and family/social group tour  bookings can be made by contacting the Visitor Centre. We are happy to tailor programmes to meet your interests.

- Tour operators are welcome to contact the Visitor Centre about arranging a tour of the house/gardens.

- Public tours are tentatively planned to restart in August. 

 

Auckland Government House gardens

- We will not be scheduling any tours of the gardens before October.

Public tour

15 places on each tour for individuals or groups of 6 or less. (Currently unavailable. Dates to be advised)

Tours take around two hours and include the Visitor Centre, the main house and the garden (weather permitting).

Group tour

For groups of more than 5 people (from 20 April)

Community organisations, rest homes, work groups, commercial tour groups and groups with specialist needs or interests.

School tour

For ECE-Adult education groups including ESOL classes (from 20 April)

We can tailor a visit to meet students' needs and learning requirements.
