Claire Gianotti, of Taupo, QSM, for services to people with disabilities and the community
Mrs Gianotti began her career as a primary school teacher, school principal and National Director of ‘Parents as First Teachers’. She brought this education experience to her current role as President of Taupo Riding for the Disabled, which caters for around 60 riders per week. She was the support person for the World Vision 48 Hour Famine in Taupo and co-coordinator of the group that runs the Acacia Bay Arts and Craft Fair. Mrs Gianotti also raised money to build Northwood Kindergarten in Taupo and was the Chairman of the Community Organisation Grants Scheme Tongariro Group.
