Wayne Smith
Wayne Smith, of Cambridge, received the Insignia of a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to rugby. Mr Smith has been assistant coach of the All Blacks and is the assistant coach of the Waikato Chiefs. He was part of the coaching trio with Sir Graham Henry and Steve Hansen that coached the All Blacks to victory in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. He was assistant backs coach for the All Blacks from 2004 to 2011 and was head coach of the All Blacks from 2000 to 2001. He coached the Crusaders from 1997 to 1999 and the Northampton Saints in England from 2001 to 2004. Mr Smith played first five-eighth for the All Blacks from 1980 to 1985.
