For services to rugby. Sir Graham Henry coached the All Blacks to Rugby World Cup victory in the 2011 international tournament, when they beat France by one point. He was named 2011 Coach of the Year by the International Rugby Board. He has been coach of the All Blacks since 2003, coaching more than 100 test matches. He has had an unprecedented 86% success rate as coach. The team has won three Grand Slams, five Tri Nations series, and 22 of their last 23 tests under his leadership. He coached the Auckland rugby team, which won the Air New Zealand NPC four times between 1992 and 1997. He coached the Welsh rugby team from 1998 to 2002 and the Lions in 2001. He was named as the International Rugby Board’s Coach of the Year in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010. Sir Graham is noted for the effective way he has adapted to the professional rugby environment, and for his long track-record of coaching success.
