Geoffrey Clements
Geoffrey Clements, of Christchurch, received The Queen's Service Medal for services to the television industry. Mr Clements has been a television cameraman and outside broadcaster for 40 years. He made technological developments that contributed to new methods of television coverage. He has principally covered international sporting events, including rugby and cricket. He has been camera operator at 114 test cricket matches and 210 one day international cricket games since 1967. Mr Clements takes the time to teach his skills and mentors aspiring camera operators.
