Barry Haddock QSM
Barry Haddock, of Auckland, received the Queen’s Service Medal for services to education. Mr Haddock has been a teacher at Otahuhu College, a low decile school, for more than 45 years, serving in a multitude of different roles. These roles have included as Head of the Department of Geography and Mathematics, Deputy Principal and staff representative on the Board of Governors. He has also coached various teams, been the school's timetable organiser for more than 25 years, and is now the College Archivist. He is well known for his mentoring of both students and teachers.
