Harkrishen Singh Kung QSM
Harkrishen Singh Kung, JP, of Hamilton, received the Queen’s Service Medal for services to the Indian community. Mr Singh Kung is a retired dairy farmer who has contributed to the Indian community for more than 30 years. He is a foundation member of the New Zealand Sikh Society, where he has held various offices, and was instrumental in the construction of the Sikh temple in Hamilton, along with the establishment of other Sikh societies in Auckland and Te Puke. He has been involved with the Country Section of the New Zealand Indian Association since 1956.
