Trevor Grice
Trevor Grice, of Otaki, received the Insignia of a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the community. Mr Grice has continued to contribute to the community. He is still involved with the Life Education Trust, which he established in 1987. He continues to educate young people on the impact of drugs on the brain and is a regular lecturer at the New Zealand Police College. He has spoken and lectured at many international conferences and forums. In 2000, he received a UNESCO Peace Building Award, was named The Evening Post’s Wellingtonian of the Year for public service, and was included in North & South magazine’s ‘100 people who made a difference’. He is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and was the Listener magazine’s Campaigner of the Year in 2007.
