Jill Calveley
Dr Jill Calveley, of Auckland, received the Queen’s Service Medal, for services to people with disabilities, on 16 April 2008. Dr Calveley was instrumental in establishing the Ambury Park Centre for Riding Therapy for people with disabilities in Auckland. She also implemented a research project to study the effects of riding on the sitting balance of people with disabilities and organized the Festival of the Horse in 1998 to raise funds for the Centre.
