Lloyd Geering
Emeritus Professor Lloyd Geering, pictured with wife Shirley outside Government House in Wellington, received the Insignia of New Zealand's highest honour, the Order of New Zealand, at an Investiture Ceremony on 30 August 2007. Professor Geering, the Foundation Professor of Religious Studies at Victoria University of Wellington (1971-84), is one of New Zealand's most eminent theologians and is widely known as a columnist, writer, broadcaster and commentator.
