Allan Devlin
Allan Devlin, of Lower Hutt, received the Queen's Service Medal for services to the community. Mr Devlin has been an active member of the St Vincent de Paul Society in Lower Hutt for more than 50 years. He was editor of the Society’s bulletin and International Chairman of the Youth Commission. He was a foundation member of St Leo’s Scouts in 1934, coordinator of the pastoral programme Renew, and chaired the Archdiocesan Justice of the Peace Committee. For more than 50 years Mr Devlin has been active in assisting refugees in settling in the Hutt Valley and has been a youth advocate with the Lower Hutt Police.
