Peter Snow, Upper Hutt, QSM
For services to the community. Mr Snow voluntarily and successfully advocated for Soundfield systems to be installed in all schools in the Porirua and Hutt Valley areas, in order to address learning difficulties for hearing-impaired students. He is also Chairperson of the Mission to Seafarers in Wellington. He is active in the provision of rescue boats for a Sea Cadet Corps Unit and the Paremata Boating Club, and has worked to rejuvenate the Titahi Bay Youth Boating Club. He has been instrumental in buying a fleet of training dinghies to help with the club's ‘learn to sail’ programme, which is run in conjunction with Titahi Bay Intermediate. Mr Snow is also a past President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
