James Wetere
James Wetere, of Hamilton, received the Queen's Service Medal for services to the community. Mr Wetere has been involved with the Enderley Park Community Centre and is notable for the development of programmes and services dedicated to youth. These programmes include breakfast clubs and recreational and sporting programmes that help pre-school and primary school children in the area. He has also been involved the local rugby club, which was established in 1959. He has introduced other sports clubs to the area, including a local community multi-sports organisation. Mr Wetere is the chairperson of Tainui Waka Rugby and deputy chairperson of Te Hiu O Te Ika Rugby.
