Pamela Wilson, Mangakino, QSM
For services to the community. Mrs Wilson was one of the founding members and currently manages the Mangakino Community Agency in 1991. Over the years she has also worked in a voluntary capacity to assist in turning the once dwindling town into a thriving centre. As co-owner of the Four Square store in Mangakino she developed strong connections in the community. During the 1960s Mrs Wilson was involved with the Mangakino Playcentre where she was instrumental in relocating the centre to its present site. She was an inaugural member of the Mangakino Lioness Club, and became the first women President of the Mangakino Lions Club. She has also been a trustee of Pouakani Marae. Mrs Wilson is an active Justice of the Peace.
