Peter Drummond
Peter Drummond, of Parnell, received the Insignia of a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to the community. Mr Drummond has contributed to the Auckland community for more than 25 years through his membership of various organisations and local authorities. He was President of the Variety Children's Charity New Zealand. He was Vice President of the Variety Children's Charity International for many years, where he fundraised for the Lifeline Programme, which takes medical teams to remote areas of the world to treat children with medical problems. He established the New Zealand division of Lifeline. Mr Drummond was a director of the Auckland Museum Trust Board, Auckland Museum Enterprises and Mid Central Health.
