Paul Morgan
Paul Morgan, of Nelson, received the Insignia of the Queen's Service Order for services to Māori business and Māori. Mr Morgan has contributed to a number of significant developments within the Māori community. He was the Chief Executive of the Federation of Māori Authorities, New Zealand’s largest Māori business network, for over 15 years. He led a number of national research projects, including the first Māori Economic Report. He led the strategy and implementation of FOMANA, the commercial arm of the Federation of Māori Authorities. He was instrumental in developing Tekau Plus, a Māori export and foreign direct investment program. In 2008, he organised an international workshop on exporting and foreign investment, which brought together Māori business and export leaders. Mr Morgan led a team of people who went to Māori communities to coach and support Māori in running inter-generational land trusts.
