Mr Brian Palliser, QSM of Christchurch, for services to the community
Mr Palliser is a lawyer and has volunteered as District President and District and National Councillor of the New Zealand Automobile Association. He was a board member of the JR McKenzie Trust. He is a member and former Chairperson of the Christchurch Seattle Sister City Committee. He has fostered relationships with China and with the Antarctic Support Programme ‘Deep Freeze’ personnel. Following the Canterbury earthquakes, he helped the people of Seattle and Wuhan (China) purchase a fast-response ambulance for St John. Mr Palliser has participated in neighbourhood watch programmes and has donated legal and notarial services to people in need.
