Allan Fenwick, of Marton, ONZM, for services to the thoroughbred racing industry
As Chief Executive of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing, Mr Fenwick oversaw a number of reforms, including the introduction of the Judicial Control Authority and the establishment of a national racing bureau. He has been a Board member of the TAB and New Zealand Racing Authority. He was a member of the International Cataloguing Standards Committee representing the Asian Racing Federation and has delivered papers to forums overseas. He has supported the New Zealand Racing Hall of Fame since its inception and continues as a Board member. He has been involved with the New Zealand Racehorse Owners Federation for more than 40 years and is Secretary and former Trials Organiser for the Manawatu Association. Mr Fenwick is also a Board member and Secretary of the New Zealand Equine Research Foundation.
