Rochelle Martin, of Red Beach, MNZM, for services to rugby and Fire and Emergency New Zealand
Rochelle Martin had a career in rugby spanning 17 years and including three Women’s Rugby World Cup victories. As a Black Fern, she held the positions of Vice Captain and Captain of several international touring squads. She has also played for the Wellington and Auckland regional women’s rugby union teams. She is currently the New Zealand Fire Service’s Acting National Manager Recruitment and Assistant Area Manager. She is a member of Women in Fire and Emergency New Zealand, the National Women’s Advisory Committee, and the Fire Service’s National Recruiting Team. She was previously a Board member of Women in Firefighting Australasia.
