Fiona Allan, of Auckland, ONZM, for services to Paralympic sport
Fiona Allan is Chief Executive of Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ), having previously served as Operations Manager. She has worked to develop the Paralympic Movement and has overseen significant growth in Paralympic sport in New Zealand. She has attended six Paralympic Games during her tenure. She led the staging of the 2011 International Paralympic Committee’s Athletics World Championships in Christchurch and was Secretary General of the Oceania Paralympic Committee. She led the Parafed Revitalisation, implementing the new Towards 2020 PNZ Strategic Plan and structure to deliver a world-leading High Performance and Paralympic Games Plan. Ms Allan has led PNZ into new partnerships with a focus on attaining investment to meet the fast-growing needs of Para sport in New Zealand.
