Pete Donaldson, of Katikati, QSM, for services to the Coastguard
Pete Donaldson has been involved with Tauranga Volunteer Coastguard (TVCG) since 1995. He is a qualified training officer for Coastguard New Zealand and is involved with the training of all boat crew for TVCG. He has trained more than 100 crew to Coastguard New Zealand operational level and some to skipper level. He also undertook the task of getting Maketu Coastguard up to Coastguard New Zealand rescue unit standard. He is a member of the TVCG Board and was recently made a Life Member. Mr Donaldson is a Senior Skipper and the maintenance officer for TVCG’s two rescue boats.
