Ms Rae Crossley-Croft, of Auckland, MNZM for services as a violinist
Rae Crossley-Croft has been a professional musician for more than 50 years. She began her career in the United Kingdom and spent 10 years with the Sydney Symphony and Opera/Ballet Orchestras before immigrating to New Zealand. She was a founding member of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) and held the role of Principal, 2nd Violin for 26 years. She served on the APO Artistic Committee and was a member of the Audition Panel. She is currently Principal Emeritus 2nd Violin. Ms Crossley-Croft has taught and mentored young emerging violinists over the years and has performed both paid and voluntary concerts with the Auckland String Quartet.
