Mrs Pat Dance, of Featherston, MNZM for services to the New Zealand Kennel Club
Mrs Pat Dance has held numerous leadership positions within the New Zealand Kennel Club. She has been active in kennel associations throughout New Zealand and has supported education for judges and stewards, while encouraging and supporting ordinary members. She has worked at the National Dog Show since 1976 and was the first woman to manage the show. As a voluntary mediator for the New Zealand Kennel Club, she has mediated disputes throughout the country. She served as Interim Director Secretary during a time of difficulty for the Club. Mrs Dance formed Pedigree Dogs New Zealand, an organisation dedicated to public education and the preservation and promotion of pedigree dog breeds.
