Mr Bruce Bold, of Upper Hutt, QSM, for services to the community
Bruce Bold set up the original Red Nose Day street appeal. He was instrumental in organising and running a radiothon for Cot Death Research, the Upper Hutt Roundtable’s Top Town games, fireworks displays, and Summer Carnivals.
He planted native trees at Trentham and installed seating along the Hutt river trail, provides transport and property maintenance for elderly people, and assists the local arts and sporting community.
Mr Bold is the voluntary caretaker of the Block House, a category 1 historic building, and a Trustee of the Rimutaka Tavern, a charitable licensing trust providing grants to local groups and events.
