Ms Mary Kisler, MNZM, of Auckland, for services to art history and curation
Mary Kisler is an art historian and was MacKelvie Curator and Senior Curator International Art at the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki.
She curated dozens of exhibitions, published three books, and contributed to many other publications.
She led art history tour groups to the United Kingdom, Italy and France; took part in monthly interviews on Radio New Zealand; helped support art tuition for Paremoremo Prison inmates undertaking School Certificate Art Classes; and led Māori art tours at Auckland Art Gallery for prisoners preparing for life outside of prison.
In the 1970s, Ms Kisler helped run drama courses for what is now Ranfurly Care Society and at Porirua hospital.
