Mr George Reedy, of Havelock North, MNZM, for services to people with disabilities and the community.
George Reedy is Chair of Peke Waihanga Artificial Limbs Service. Under his leadership, the organisation has seen an increase in patient satisfaction, better outcomes for Māori and Pacific communities, a 200 percent increase in services and technology provision for amputees and those at risk of amputation, and the adoption of new technology device programmes. He is CEO of Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga, which provides health and social services in Hawke’s Bay. As CEO, he worked with various organisations to deliver 100 high-quality affordable houses. Mr Reedy was a Board Member and Chair of Te Huarahi Tika Trust, supporting the development of Māori technology start-up groups.
