Ms Vivien Bridgwater, of Auckland, MNZM for services to governance and education
Vivien Bridgwater was a driving force behind the creation of Mai FM, a platform for young Māori to see themselves represented and normalise Te Reo in mainstream media. She played a key role in pivoting Auckland University of Technology to provide for communities underserved by existing universities and helped establish the South Campus in Manukau. She is a Commissioner of the Tertiary Education Commission and has held governance roles with Television New Zealand and Auckland economic development agency ATEED. She chaired Save the Children and served on the International Save the Children Board, amongst other board positions within the charitable sector. Ms Bridgwater currently chairs the Auckland Theatre Company.
