Dame Cindy and Mr Hugh Stringleman, of One Tree Point, MNZM for services to agricultural journalism
Hugh Stringleman has been Agricultural Editor of The Press in Christchurch, Managing Editor of New Zealand Rural Press, and a contributing journalist for Global HQ. He co-authored a history of PGG Wrightson ‘Rural Challenge’ and compiled the book ‘Agricultural Heritage: Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association Inc 1843-2010’. He was President of the New Zealand Guild of Agricultural Journalists and Communicators (NZGAJC) and led the Organising Committee for the Guild’s hosting of the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) World Congress. He is a member of the National Executive and has represented New Zealand at IFAJ conferences. Mr Stringleman was a member of the Professional Historians Association of New Zealand.
