Ms Marilyn Kohlhase, MNZM, of Auckland, for services to Pacific arts and education
Marilyn Kohlhase was part of the former Creative New Zealand Arts Board and the Chair of the Pacific Arts Committee. She was on the boards of the Pacific Cooperation Foundation, Pacific Media Network and Unitec Council. She served as a contractor designing and delivering Pacific programmes in education and health. She is co-founder of the Pacific education consultancy Tuioti Kohlhase, now Teuila Consultancy, and Okaioceanikart, the first Pan-Pacific Arts Gallery, based in Auckland. She was inaugural Chair of the Pacific Advisory Group for the Auckland War Memorial Museum and joined the Auckland Museum Institute Council. Ms Kohlhase has mentored and encouraged people to become voices for the Pacific community.
