Miss Dayle Jackson, MNZM, of Wellington, for services to education and sport
Dayle Jackson was Principal of Kelson School for several years. She created bespoke groups and classes to help students struggling in particular subjects. She coached many of the school’s sports teams, including hockey, netball, swimming and community athletics, attending all weekend games. She was heavily involved in her students’ learning, teaching two large groups for maths. She has been involved with Hockey New Zealand for decades as a player, coach and in various other roles. She managed the Black Sticks Women’s team at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics. She is a qualified Bowls New Zealand coach and umpire. Miss Jackson has served four terms as President of Bowls Wellington.
