Central North Island Regional Visit - Day Three
Day 3 began with a visit to GNS Science to hear about the latest research into geo-thermal energy. Then the Governor-General, Sir Jerry Mateparae headed off to meet carver Delani Brown and hear about how the work he does taching and mentoring, while Lady Janine met with some local arts, fashion and events innovators.After lunch, Sir Jerry and Lady Janine met with local students taking part in the Kids Greening Taupo project, where students from pre-school up participate in ecological initiatives.
