Second visit to Canterbury

The Governor-General, Rt Hon Sir Anand Satyanand, and Lady Susan Satyanand returned to Canterbury on 16 December 2010 to offer their continued support and encouragement to those affected by the 4 September earthquake. The visit included meeting with staff from the Earthquake Recovery Centre in Kaiapoi, touring an earthquake damaged house due for demolition in the Courtenay Downs subdivision, and visiting the University of Canterbury Emergency Operations Centre.
