Tuia 250 Voyage

Following from her visit to the waka participating in the Tuia 250 Voyage at Gisborne, Dame Patsy was invited to visit the European ships in the flotilla, including the replica 'Endeavour' and the 'Spirit of New Zealand'. The low ceilings and cramped living spaces of the 'Endeavour' were quite a contrast to the modern layout of the 'Spirit of New Zealand'. Dame Patsy was also welcomed aboard HMNZS Wellington for a brief catch-up with former ADC Lt Emily Keat, who is now the ship's Executive Officer.
