Tour bookings
You must make bookings in advance of your tour date. Public Garden tour bookings close 24 hours before a tour. Security requirements mean only the people booked on a tour can attend. We check names at the entrance gate.
Group tours are arranged through our Visitor Centre - email [email protected] or phone 04-382-0837. Any bookings need to be made at least 24 hours in advance of your visit.
If you arrive without a booking, you will not be able to enter the grounds.
Getting to your tour
The entry gate for all tours of the gardens at Government House Auckland is on Savannah Street, Epsom. There is no parking available onsite. Please do not park in the reserved Eden Garden carparks.
The terrain on the tour is not suitable for wheelchairs or walking frames.

Arrival information for visitors
There are three entrances to Government House Auckland. You will be notified as to which gate to use.
- Most event guests, and tour participants - gate at the end of Savannah Street (near the entrance to Eden Gardens), which is off Omana Road.
- Governor-General and VIP access - gate at Mountain Road.
- Staff and goods access - via 14 Glenfell Place.
There is no public parking available onsite.
Please note: Government House Auckland is not available for hire as a venue for private events or as a location for wedding photography.
