Mrs Manisha Morar, of Wellington, QSM, for services to the Indian community
Manisha Morar is a member of the New Zealand Indian Central Association national body, previously serving as Vice President. She is Historian with the Wellington Indian Association. She was instrumental in curating a photographic exhibition celebrating 125 years of Indian diaspora in New Zealand and an exhibition acknowledging the contribution of Chinese and Indian ANZACs. She led publication of a book detailing Indian migrant experiences and contributed to the New Zealand history curriculum. Mrs Morar is a member of the Multicultural Council of Wellington, the Migrant Community Reference Group, and the New Zealand Police Wellington District Ethnic Advisory Group.
