Mr Charles Ross, of Ashburton, MNZM for services to the community
Charles Ross is a member of the Ashburton Rowing Club, where he has helped build storage and clubhouse facilities and obtained lane markers for regattas. Following the 2020 flooding of the Ashburton River, causing the destruction of the 10-kilometre cycle track linking Lake Hood to the town, he was instrumental in the rebuild project. As Chair of the Mt Somers Walkway Society, he established and led a working group to fundraise and carry out the scope and build of a safe walking route to the Sharplin Falls. Mr Ross has chaired the Ashburton Farm Forestry Association, Lagmhor Westerfield Federated Farmers, Lagmohr Board of Trustees, and Lauriston Farm Improvement Club.
