Dr Nina Hood, of Auckland, MNZM for services to education
Dr Nina Hood founded The Education Hub, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to closing the gap between educational research and classroom teaching. She leads international webinars, establishing a global conversation on education reform, effective pedagogy, and rigorous curriculum design. She helped establish and is Academic Director of The Teachers’ Institute, a charitable trust which offers school-led teacher education and professional development. She is a member of the Coherence Group overseeing the development of the new school curriculum and volunteers her time to organise community events that address local issues. Dr Hood is a Senior Research Fellow at Koi Tū, a think tank focused on building informed futures.
