Mr Gerald Hope, of Blenheim, MNZM for services to local government, business and the community
Mr Gerald Hope has been involved with the Marlborough Art Society since the 1980s, including time as President. He was Mayor of Marlborough and continues to serve on the District Council. He was an inaugural Trustee, and later Chair, for the Marlborough Hospice Trust. He chaired Marlborough Regional Forestry and made a significant contribution to the Cawthron Institute Trust Board and the Marlborough Enviro Awards. He was Chief Executive Officer of the Marlborough Research Centre. He has supported the Marlborough Youth Trust, Grovetown Lagoon Restoration Society, Marlborough Cycleway Group, and Rarangi Civil Defence Group. Mr Hope was President of the Rarangi Residents Association and Tennis Club.
